What is Digital Marketing?


Digital marketing; It is the general name given to all marketing activities in the online world that started to replace traditional marketing with the internet age. We can perform these activities on channels such as Google, Facebook, Instagram or various content sites. These activities can include very different goals and objectives such as brand awareness, product sales or filling out forms.


In our following articles, we will talk about in which areas brand awareness or in which areas sales campaigns are held.


What are the Digital Marketing Channels?


Let's talk about which channels we can do Digital Marketing. Digital Marketing channels we will use most; search engines, social media, displays network ads, remarketing, affiliate marketing, one-to-one communication channels and content marketing.


Search Engines: When we search for a product on Google, we actually see three types of results. These are shopping ads, text ads, and organic search results.


• Shopping ads are ads for e-commerce sites.

• Writes sponsored or advertisements on text ads. All of these are created by advertising on google ads.

• Organic search results, that is, results in the field of search engine optimization, aim to go up with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) studies.


Facebook and Instagram Ads: Facebook and Instagram ads are explained separately in many places. However, these are not separate titles. It is possible to advertise on both platforms via Facebook.


Display Network Ads: These ads are mostly encountered when browsing content sites or news sites. They use it to increase brand awareness.


Remarketing Ads: Advertising models that enable us to view the contents of the site we visited on another site after leaving the site. In short, you enter a site and browse the products and pages on the site. Then you exit the site. When you enter another site, you see the advertisements of the products you viewed on the previous site while browsing the site. This is Remarketing Ads. Remarketing Ads are very important. Because users who come to your site repeatedly are able to make more purchases.


Affiliate Marketing: It is an action-oriented paid advertising model. For example, an agreement can be made between an e-commerce site and a publisher. They can say that we will give 4% commission on each sale that you bring.


One-to-One Marketing Channels: It is a marketing method made via SMS, e-mail or applications.
